I am starting to make pen blanks. I am new to molding but I have used clear resins in the past to coat surfaces.
I made a couple of black blanks. But it seems that they are not curing all the way. Does the amount of dye effect the curing. I am not getting a gloss finish when I sand them? I was able to bend one of them almost 24 hours after pouring, and one that I did turn which seemed hard, when I put some pressure on it with a rag the resin seemed to get soft?
I saw some videos that said that 2 hours was the cure time. I am curing in a pressure pot for 2 hours at over 40psi
I would appreciate any information as I do not want to start to waste the resin.
Thank you!
