I am new to resins and stabilizers. I’m wondering the difference between the Alumilite resins and Cactus Juice? Are they used in the same way? Are they interchangeable?

The only thing I know about cactus juice is that it is a bad thing to use to seal wood when you're pouring resin over it. Other than that I'm not sure how it's used as I don't normally use stabilizers. Now if you're wanting a sealer/over-coating, the Amazing Clear Cast is great for this. What are you putting it over?
Can we have some of our members who use stabilizers chime in and add their advice?

tj, Cactus Juice is for stabilizing (hardening) punky wood. It has nothing to do with resin casting. I sometimes use it for punky wood by putting the CJ in a vacuum chamber then placing the wood into the CJ and turning the vacuum on. There are several videos on youtube that describes the process. After soaking in the CJ, the wood needs to be baked in an oven. Then it can be used inside resin.
Hope that helps..
