This is somewhat of an odd question but how feasible is it to cast vinyl and fabric in Alumilite Clear? I've had an idea to make a series of pens using car parts, specifically those parts being replaced on the car I'm fixing. The plan is to display these pens with the car at shows, a little something to make it stand out from the rest. For one pen I'm considering using a piece of the ripped vinyl upholstery and a segment of a water damaged seatbelt. Would there be any problem with casting these materials in Alumilite?
One final question, how would one create a transparent black or smoke gray effect in Alumilite Clear? The current plan for one pen features a finial with a blue Chevy bowtie set in a transparent black or gray surround.

Yes you should be able to embed vinyl and fabric in the Clear - I've never done it but it should work the same way as embedding anything else, just remember how lightweight and flexible the item you're embedding is.
