Hello. Regarding www.alumilite.com/products/casting-resins/amazing-clear-castI have a 3d Printed Bowl I would like to coat with Amazing Clear Cast Resin to keep it waterproof and food safe. I have some questions: 1. Should I sand (fine grit) the inner Bowl before applying resin as to rough up the contact area? 2. Are any of the following 'cleaners' corrosive to Amazing Clear Cast resin once fully cured? a. Vinegar and water b. Dish Soap and water c. Isopropyl Alcohol 3. What is the cure time? Thank you!

a. Vinegar and water Not sure if the vinegar will hurt it but the water definitely won't.
b. Dish Soap and water Dish soap and water will definitely not hurt it. c. Isopropyl Alcohol Yes this will definitely mess it up as it's as part of the uncured clean up methods so I would assume that it can also hurt the cured resin.
Cure time is in 24-48 hours but personally I'd give it up to 5 days to be completely sure but then again that's just what I would do.
Now you said it's a 3D printed bowl, if you're going from a print I'd say to be even more sure to keep it food safe I'd make sure it was printed in PET or PETG - I could be a little off on the names to look for the food grade filament as I know for a fact that I would never eat/drink out of an ABS print.

You are correct on filament types, i'm using T-Glase which is a Food safe PETT which is close to PETG - FYI There are PLA brand filaments that are also Food safe.

I knew there had to be some food grade filaments I couldn't think of right off, I'm still learning on the 3D stuff as I'm learning on my own so thanks for the extra info. A little off-topic, but how does the food grade PLA stand up to time and usage? I'm learning 3D printing to help make originals and shaped mold boxes for mold orders in my shop and I like to know my options on filaments and how they might stand up to being used for molding and such.
