Hi guys i'm new here I need to make a silicon model of baby stomach(it's a training model for pediatric surgery) , How can i make it hollow since it is a complex shape not an easy one. I made a hollow tube before but the shape is very complex to be a hollow. i made it by making 2 part mold by 3D printer then printing the inner tube then cast silicone on it. Attachments:

I think you can do it one of two ways (there may be more) - a roto (slush) type casting which I'm not knowledgeable about (and you need a machine for I believe) and a mold similar to casting toy car tops. Also I think it might be easier to cost in two pieces then glue the two pieces together after casting. I believe Carol mentioned in a different thread who is knowledgeable about making pen blank molds which would be similar to what you want but I can't remember who she said to ask.

Notoes was thinking the same thing I was. Here is a small rotational molder that works well and would more than likely be a great size for your model. rotomaak.com/ Simply use the two piece mold you have and pour in as much silicone as needed to get a good even coat which gives you the stomach wall thickness you desire. It may take multiple coats as well which is not an issue. Simply cut a small hole in the first cured layer and pour more inside the mold and let it turn for another few hours. The layers will bond extremely well to each other. I'd probably recommend our Amazing Mold Rubber as it has a shorter pot life and shorter demold time. You could also go slightly above the 10:1 mix ratio to speed it up a little more. Should be able to demold within 3-4 hours and would be pink in color. Mike
