Hello,
I am attempting to cast shot glasses from a 3D printed mold but I am concerned about the safety of the Clear Cast Resin coming in regular contact with alcohol. My first question is after letting it cure for the required time of 6+ hours will the resin be safe to use as a shot glass with alcohol and if not, what material would you recommend? My second question is assuming the resin is safe for my intended use will adding in Alumilite Dye effect whether or not it is still safe to use with alcohol? Thank You.

FDA compliancy was tested after the Amazing Clear Cast was measured accurately, mixed thoroughly, and cured fully (72+ hours) ... not the 6 hour demold time. Full cure takes much longer for all reaction to take place and fully crosslink. Make sure to allow the material to cure for the full 72 hours at 72 degrees F. Elevated temperatures will assist in curing the material faster. Lower temperatures will prolong the cure schedule further than 72 hours.
We test to FDA standards and not to specific liquids or mixtures or percentages of dyes, powders, or other encapsulated materials. If we did the testing would go on forever. The best and only thing we can state and stand behind is the test method our material passed which was FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 if and when the material is properly measured, mixed, and fully cured.
