Hello, first post here. Love alumilite products and videos. I had a question about making a mold for a soft plastic fishing lure. I know you can use VAC50 and quickset as a mold but am curious if it is possible to create a mold using RC-3 resin? I see the temp resistance is 197, I shoot soft plastic around 320-350. VAC50 has a temp resistance of 275. Would RC3 be suitable for a mold? Thank you in advance.

Yes, you can do it as long as it is a fairly small or a normal sized worm or soft plastic bait ... not big whigglies or musky lures. Too much heat in the mold for too long will start to soften it. We typically recommend the Vac 50 due to the higher temp and will probably hold up better long term but if you are just pouring baits to play with or test ... I'd have not problem recommending it. However, if you are looking at a long term production mold, I'd steer you to the Vac 50.
Let us know how it goes.
thx, Mike
