Okay I see the notification option on new threads/posts is not working for me even though I'm a mod here. I'm having trouble getting my hands on any of High Strength series (1,2,& 3) and having problems with curing too fast on them so this looks like another problem I need to check on. I've got some time to waste so I'll get on the horn and see what I can find out. I'm a mod but I'm an "unpaid" mod so I'm in the same boat as everyone else, I'm just a little more stubborn on getting answers as I'll bug the crap out of someone to get some.

Okay so I got a hold of a live person in the tech department. Everyone who was having trouble please, PLEASE CALL THEM at (269) 488-4000 and speak to someone in the technical department - option #2 when you call in. I was told they are caught up on all emails and they're just waiting for someone to call in to help them.

I'm having the same issue. Just purchased this from a hobby chain store. Mixed per instructions - 1 scoop per 2 oz. Not anywhere near set up after 12 hours. Somewhere around sticky pudding in consistency. Shook the catalyst before using and mixed well. Will put the molds on the heat register tonight to see if that helps by morning.
No answer from support to anyone on this?

You've got to call them at (269) 488-4000 and speak to someone in the technical department - option #2. But be sure you don't put them directly on the heat register as you don't really want to put anything directly on that.
I think there's a little something going on with the raw materials as I've got 3-4lbs of base with no catalyst as it seems like there wasn't enough catalyst in the bottle for the amount of base with it and this was for a couple of different sets. But you really need to call them as if there's a problem they can't fix over the phone then they'll make it right - they won't know there's a problem until someone lets them know directly either by phone or email.

It's very odd that it's not curing as all of the HS-3 that I've had recently cures faster than it should. Definitely call them - you might need to switch over to one of the High Strength series and if you let them know one of the other mold materials isn't curing, they'll replace it for you for free and you can just ask to have the replacement in the HS instead (I'd suggest going with #2 as it should have the same density). Heat will usually help a mold set at least enough to salvage the design just as long as the material the design is made in can handle some heat, clay usually can. I usually clean up with Lysol wipes or rubbing alcohol or in a pinch - hand sanitizer. But be careful of what you use on your design, anything that "breaks down" the mold material residue might harm your design in some way too.
Personally, I don't really like getting my mold material from one of the hobby stores as you never know how long it's sat on the shelf and they DO have a shelf life that could have run out while sitting in the stores. Whenever I need some fast and can't get it directly from Alumilite (it's the best way to get the freshest batches), I go straight to Amazon as you can get some from the Alumilite store there and even when you get it from another seller, it's still fresher than a hobby store. And even though I do love going into a store and just picking up some, I still avoid doing so unless I absolutely need it that same day.

I've been having the same issues. This kit was recommended to me because I want to make molds using candles as the base model. The first kit I got from Amazon didn't cure, even though I left it for 12 hours. I mixed the entire kit, so the ratio was not an issue. I ended up removing my candle from the gooey mess and washing it off. I purchased a second kit from Amazon so I can try again. The catalyst leaked through the box and there was a closed safety seal placed on top of the original safety seal which was already opened. Even though some of the catalyst was missing, because they apparently sold me a used kit, I still went ahead and tried to make a mold using another candle. So far, it's not curing and it's been well over 24 hours. I'm beyond frustrated now...
