After doing a little research, I think I can solve my problem of providing my 3D printed part with a slick color and make it food safe, by:
I want to avoid acquiring both clear cast and white cast epoxies if I can rather use white dye in the clear cast A side to prime it for an opaque color. Although the problem noted by another user here, that green cures to blue with the clear cast resin.
Also, I suppose that the clear cast is only guaranteed food safe without mixing in colors (observed on resin obsession's forum), hence the final clear coat.
Any comments?
- Mixing Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast with a combination of white dye and my chosen color (likely blue), and apply two or more layers to fill in holes and striations
- Use pure Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast for a final, glossy, food safe coating
