Hi
I have created a silicone mould with the amazing rubber mould. I was wondering if I could use it to cast a silicone model using the same product? I read that I can use a release agent?

Good Morning Ralphrusso,
Silicone wants to and will bond to itself unless a rubber to rubber mold release is used/applied. You must make sure all areas of the silicone have several coats of release before pouring another silicone into or over another silicone. There are a multitude of different releases on the market. DO NOT get a silicone release it was act like a super glue and bond the silicone to the silicone. We have the UMR which is a Universal Mold Release, it is for silicone to silicone or silicone to urethane. The Stoner is a silicone based release and is used if you are pouring a urethane resin into anything but a silicone mold. (polyurethane's bond to everything but silicone)
Regards,
Carol

Hello everyone If you need any help for silicone molding then contact SILIKON Technologies. The goal is simple; disrupt the Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) market in the same fashion that the Polymer team had already accomplished in the medical injection molding industry. silikontechnologies.com/
