Hey I made a flower pot but it doesn’t have any drain holes and my customers are requesting that the pot be able to take water. I used plaster of Paris to cast my mold how can I make it water proof? Also is there a way for me to drill a hole in the planters after they dry?

Hello Prissy.
Alumilite actually has a cool new product coming out very soon which is PERFECT for making pots and is much tougher than plaster. Check back over the next couple months as I think you'll really like it.
Best way to seal plaster is by spraying a clear acrylic paint onto it ... matte of gloss ... which ever you desire. I'd recommend a few coats allowing it to dry between each coat. I like to spray the inside with multiple coats and maybe a light matte on the outside to not change or effect the look too much of the outside.
As far as drilling plaster ... you can do it but be very careful and go very slow with not a lot of pressure on the drill or drill press. The new product coming from Alumilite will take this much better and can even be turned on a lathe.
Hope this helps. Mike
