I have tried 5 times with various methods and I get tons of air bubbles in my casting. I am following the instructions from the website to a T. These lenses are used for clearance lights on vintage campers and have been discontinued by the manufacturer. So now they are upwards of $50 each on ebay. And I need 10! I've got $100 in materials from Alumilite and I'm pretty disappointed with my results :-( Please help! How can I fix this?

Craig,
We have a couple of different clear products, which one are you using? How large is your pour, are you vacuuming or Pressure casting? If you are not degassing Craig it is likely you will have some of the frozen champagne bubbles in your lenses, they can be minimized by the way your blend/stir and how you pour, but to have none typically equipment is needed. If you could answer the questions, it would be helpful for us to assist further. Or please feel free to call of us, if you would like.
Regards,
Carol

Craig,
We are revising the instructions on using the clear without equipment, making it clearer on the statement "bubbles will/can be present" without equipment. It is possible to cast clear resins without equipment if a few/some bubbles aren't important or change the appearance more than is acceptable in any given application.
It is good to hear that the pressure pot has helped with your lenses and bubbles are little to no issue at this point. It was a pleasure speaking with you Craig... glad we were able to help you (good work by you too) and it seems to all be coming together. Look forward to seeing pictures of your project Craig!
Regards,
Carol
