What Alumilite casting product would hold up to being pierced with sewing straight pins? I’m wanting to make a small doll dress form to help me design sewing patterns. Is there a product that can self heal or not degrade and fall apart from being stuck with straight pins?

What I would suggest is RC-3 resin...I have drilled, bored and sanded 1:25 scale automotive parts with excellent results. What I use to drill very small holes into resin is a pin vice......available at your neighborhood hobby store or online....

Plat 25 or HS-3 should also hold up but yes RC-3 would would too. RC-3 would hold the shape but it might dull the pin points though the silicones would also do that eventually but RC-3 might break the tips too.

Would it be possible to drill pilot holes, using a pin vice, the same diameter of the pins? My line of thinking is re using the same holes for like patterns or making new ones for the various other patterns you may use.
