This may or may not be the correct forum for my question, so please bear with me.
I will be pouring a mold with either resin, plastic, or acrylic, not sure yet. Does anyone know if one or more of these substances are paintable with an automotive type of paint? The part will be approximately 5/8 inch thick and will vary in width from 1/4 inch up 1 1/4 inch. I don't yet know what type of solvent, if any, is used in automotive paint, so I have to research that first. Any help would be appreciated.

I've painted many pieces of RC-3 resin with automotive paint and primer from a spray can. I have also decanted spray paint and used with my airbrush with excellent results as well. As a side note , you can also use nail polish as well on resin. Be sure and wash the pieces to be painted first...I use Dawn dish washing soap to cut the oil residue that can be present on the resin pieces surface.
