I have Alumilite clear blanks that I mixed wrong(ish) and I want to melt them all down to use again if I can.
I was going to put them in a cast iron skillet lined with tin foil and put them in the oven at 300 or 400 degrees. I am getting yes and no from the varioussearch engines.

NO BIG BIG NO!!! You're not actually melting it - you're softening it to deform it. Plus YOU ARE PUTTING OUT FUMES by heating it that high and that's a BIG NO-NO!! All resins are safe AS LONG AS YOU WORK THEM PROPERLY. And in no way, shape, or form is that properly or safe!
Yes you can "recycle" the wrong blanks but the way to do that is to reduce them to almost powder or sand-like form (or even just chunks) and use them as a filler. I can walk you through doing that if you want.
Now I have "baked" Sculpey on cured resin but that is ONLY at 275 degrees and for under 15 minutes. I also made sure to have the windows open, a fan on, and I also aired out the oven afterwards. But I NEVER go that high with ANY resin and you shouldn't either. There are ways to pop bubbles on the Clears with a torch and some ways to "soften" it with one but that is with a torch and not an oven.
PLEASE PLEASE DON'T TRY THIS - it could get you VERY sick or worse!
