Hi, I recently discovered 320 and 610 foam and thinking about using it to create faux landscape around my water feature (not directly in the water, just surrounding it; and it won’t be in sunlight, as I know sun and foam don’t mix).
But I’m curious about the following :
- Is it okay for 320 or 610 to be in frequent contact with water (indirect and not constant)
- Is it okay for either or both to be in contact with soil, would that cause it to degrade or collapse quickly? - Is there a pound per square foot rating or limit for either or both products (on a completely cured, solid section on solid ground)? Some denting/flexing is okay, and I know sharp impact will easily dent/puncture it, but just trying to get an idea if it can support any kind of weight.

As far as I know, both are fine to be in contact with soil and water BUT I personally haven't "experimented" with this so I can't vouch for it. What I CAN do is, if you're very worried about them breaking down you could always brush on a little Clear to be a barrier between the soil/water and the foam. From the data sheets and page info on them, it looks like one can handle up to 3lbs and the other can handle up to 6lbs so they can support a bit of weight depending on what you're putting on them.
