I'm guessing you'll be using a two piece mold, correct? I'd put the seam on the side (red line in picture) so that the threads are facing down and the mold material should pick them up perfectly so you won't need to cast with a bolt. Be sure to do the seam like you're slicing the top part of the knob off and go all the way through to the other side of the knob. The vents are in good places so they're pretty much good to go on those though you might want to add a second pour area as it seems to be a very small area or you could use a syringe to fill with.

Thank you for the information, and yes a two piece mold. I am getting a better understanding but have a question about the split line. Are you suggesting that the split is in the middle of the handle or at one edge. In the picture below, Im thinking you mean "A" for the split line (please LMK if you mean B or something else). Ive also added some additional fill ports. Does this look better? Next question is which product of silicone do you recommend for just this project? would it be different if I want to do this project and another but the other would be poured in white/pot metal or aluminum? Thank you.

....I would add that if there is going to be any tightening pressure, i.e a valve, that the threads be metal if at all possible to extend the life of the new handle.....a nut or heli-coil with the same thread pitch as the existing handle piece. The reason I say this that even being a resin piece, any imperfections with the resin cast thread will result in possible cross threading or the inability to tighten down properly.
My resin of choice for this project would be RC-3

Good advice. There shouldn't be too much pressure as it is an adjustment knob (as opposed to tightening/clamping) and is secured to the threaded rod with a jam nut. Ill look for the RC-3. What about the type of silicon that could be used for this as well as a future white/pot mental or aluminum?

Yes A would be a good place for the split line. As for silicone, the High Strength 3 would probably be best. You'll want the longer open time to get the most out of your detailing and have a mold that is as exact as possible even though it's just a knob.
