Project: Embedding photo in pocket milled into wooden serving tray using Amazing Cure Cast.
Problem: After curing, resultant hardened epoxy is not transparent. Very cloudy, gray type appearance, cannot see photo clearly. I have made others previous to this that were fine - very transparent & clear picture. No problem with curing (hard surface), mixing ratio is exact. No obvious air bubbles, unless you consider the cloudy texture to be very small air bubbles. Mixing time > 5 minutes.
Suspect problem may be:
1. Too cold ambient temperature ((approx 60 degrees F). Part A resin was very thick.
2. Maybe too fast mixing (or too long?).
Please advise suggested solution and/or comments.

It could be the cold like you said. The good news is you can always sand or cut out the Clear and re-pour though the picture may be a loss.

Thank you.
Have already milled out the pocket and am ready to repour using new picture. Experimented with test pours on scrap wood at warmer temperature (65 vs. 57), and believe the cloudiness is simply very small air bubbles trapped in the mixture. Much improved just by spreading out the epoxy to release the bubbles. Also tried spraying alcohol mist which worked. Understand heat is also an option to dissipate air bubbles.

Yes you've got the bases covered with all three - heat is also a good option to use. I'm glad to hear you fixed it.
