According to the technical data sheet for Alumilite slow, the shelf life is 3 months. On the container (for 8lbs) I do not see a shelf life date or a manufacturing date. I am not a high volume user but I like to buy the larger size due to the price differential. Weeks matter given a 90 day shelf life, so how do I know I am getting a fresh batch either from Alumilite or from a 3rd party supplier?
Thanks, Mike

For shelf life, I'd go by when you opened it and broke the seal. Once it's sealed, it should last a long time as long as you have it in a good stable environment (no extremely high temps or lows). Other than that, once it's opened be sure to keep it tightly capped when you're not using it. Brian holds the record for oldest gallon bottles of resin - I think his are a couple years old by now if memory serves me. So it should last you as long as you need it to without problems as long as you take care. I hope this helps.

I've had some for over a year and part B has turned a pinkish color - is it still good?

If you shake it for aprox. 1 minute and it has not changed its color or consistency, then I would say its no good....same applies if it has left a Pink stain to the inside of the bottle that is still visible after shaking....
