Hello, can you please describe the process for making safe chocolate molds from UV resin 3d prints. The shop advised following process: 1. Print 3d model 2. Make non food grade mold 3. Cast model in gypsum 4. Make final mold with food grade silicone
Does it makes sense? Or I can make mold right away out of well cured UV resin 3d print?

Okay I'm not sure why you have to go to that much trouble and I wouldn't use gypsum at all, wouldn't know where to find any myself. If the resin is fully cured, I don't see why you can't go straight from that to the food grade silicone and skip step 2 & 3. I'd give the model a light hand washing to remove any oils/dirt/dust that may have gotten on it and pour the silicone right over top of it. For my candy mold masters I've used ABS prints, plastic, RC-3 resin, Deep Pour resin, and Amazing Clear Coat resin (original and UV Plus) and I've had no problems with any of it contaminating a food grade mold. Just be sure to wash the print after it's fully cured (I would give it a day or two longer than it says to on the curing instructions) and wash the mold after it's fully cured and you should be just fine.

....If you really want to use gypsum, you can get it anywhere that sells gardening supplies ....its used to break up clay or compacted soil so that water and oxygen can stimulate the root system.
