I made a bunch of trolling lures and they turned out great. They were crystal clear and I was satisfied. I used them for the fishing season last year for roughly 3 months and no problems. I was very good about rinsing them after use because salt water destroys everything.
I recently got the lures out for this years trolling season and they were all yellow. Couldn't even see through them. I know other lure makers use this product for the same application. I figured if the mixture was off or it was a bad batch I would have seen it in the first month at least. Anyone else had issues with clear slow yellowing over time? Thank you

Which Clear did you use? Also did you keep them in the fishing box or where they could be in the sun?

Which Clear did you use? Also did you keep them in the fishing box or where they could be in the sun? Alumilite Clear Slow. They were kept inside in bag after using. I only used them a handful of times. Does Clear slow have a shelf life? I remember reading somewhere you could heat the bottles up to try and bring them back to life?

Even though it sounds like you took care of them very well unfortunately, sometimes they do yellow. It's why Alumilite came out with the Amazing Clear Cast Plus with UV protection that's supposed to prevent yellowing. Alumilite has a good video on why they may have turned yellow on their youtube channel : www.youtube.com/watch?v=ND2zVosuzIE . I tested the Amazing Clear Cast Plus myself with a sun-catcher and it's going on 7 months in the bright full sun with not event the faintest hint of yellowing. Heating the bottles up is for when Side B has moisture contamination which you can tell if it has a "chunky" look to it and that's usually when using RC-3. On the Clear Slow, heating up the bottles just makes them easier to pour as it thins them out a bit and they pour faster. I hope some of this helps.
