Looking to make "fake butter" to display in an antique butter serving piece. I am thinking that the silicone mold making rubber has a nice consistency and sheen to it to mimic actual butter, but the color is white to pinkish.
Is there any way to tint/color the mold making rubber ?

I have not tried it myself but they do have "Silicone Color Pigments" that can be used. Here's a link to it : www.alumilite.com/dyes-colors/silicone-color-pigments-25-lb/ . Right now it's showing some colors out of stock but I did see yellow which is what you'll probably want. My advise on this is to mix just a little bit at a time as you can always add more but you can't take away coloring. And mix into only one side while you get the color you want. The directions say to : * Add up to .5% of total mixed weight of silicone * In 1:1 systems, mix in part B before combining * In 10:1 systems, mix in part A before combining
