I have been reading the data sheets for Alumilite Clear and Alumilite Clear (Slow) both say they have a shelf life of 3 months in an UNOPENED bottle. How does this work? Is that from the date of manufacture? The date it is first opened? Or does it last longer when kept at the recommended temperatures?
Any insight welcome

There seems to be differing opinions as far as when shelf life starts.... is it store shelf plus the shelf at home or is it the time spent on the shelf at home. I personally would go so far as to say from the time it is containerized in the plant to when it is first opened would be its shelf life. So, in theory, there is no way an individual can figure out how long it has sat in a warehouse(s) and how long it sat on the store shelf before being purchased. On the other hand, I have a gallon jug of RC-3 resin that is older than the hillbilly hills that I still use from time to time. Yes, the more care that you can provide to any Alumilite product as far as proper storage goes will go a long way in prolonging its usability. I store my products under a work table, away from direct light of any kind, at room temperature........I even go so far as running a dehumidifier in the Summer months even if I'm not pouring anything.
Try to limit to amount of time that the lids/caps are removed from the containers, particularly in a humid environment as moisture of any amount is your #1 enemy.
