Hello. I'm hoping to make a river table with rocks. I have my mold, the epoxy, the wood prepped, and polished stones I've been collecting for a year.
The instructions say to seal embedded objects to help prevent bubbles as the epoxy cures. The rocks will be almost up to the edges of the wood on the sides so I'm not sure how I can get a skim / seal coat over all of them without doing a fairly deep pour...?
I was thinking I would pour some epoxy into the mold, coat the wood and press it down, then place the rocks in but it's going to take roughly 10-15 min to arrange them (I've practiced a bit).
Should I then let that cure overnight and do another thin coat? How long do I need to let each layer cure before I can pour more?
I don't understand if I can keep pouring thin layers the same day after popping bubbles with the blow torch, or if each layer needs to cure overnight regardless?
I'd appreciate any knowledgeable input. Thanks
