Hi there! I have made a few tumblers and after watching what seems to be hundreds of videos, I came across people using epoxy on glass and used to make wooden cups water proof (epoxy on the inside) There are many crafting groups that can't seem to agree whether or not this is safe. If the epoxy is FDA compliant and the outside of the GLASS is coated in epoxy, when properly mixed and cured, is it safe to drink from, mouth contacting cup?

If the epoxy is FDA compliant, then any human contact (hands, mouth, etc) has been determined to be safe to do without risk of initial poisoning. In my humble opinion , you could run into health issues, over time, from drinking liquid from plastic bottles (water, soft drinks) due to the amount of petroleum based products that go into making those plastic bottles.....same could also be said for use of plastic cutlery and cups.
