First I wanna say thanks for all the helpful info here. As I prepare for my project pour, after 4 tests I have one last question. My project pour is about 12 inches square. What can I use as a temporary bottom for the pour that the Alumilite won't stick to? So I can remove it after everything has cured.
Thanks, Chris

Silicone mats would probably work. I use them to protect the table when doing a pour. Available in soft silicone as well as the thinner baking mats.
Waxed paper might work, too. I've used it and epoxy resins peel right off.
No need for mold release, but the resin might leak between the mold and the mat depending on thickness, so some method to put just a small amount of pressure on the mold would probably be helpful. Anything from a weight to clamps.
