Did my first test pour over rocks and sand. I'd call it a success for a first time. I do have some bubble issues to resolve. Tiny ones from the rocks and what appears to be from the wood towards the bottom edge.
The rocks I figure I can eliminate but coating them before to pour, but the others, should I seal the wood before pouring? If so any recommendations?
Thanks
Chris

Yes sealing the wood is a good idea. If one of our wood turners could chime in with which product to use to seal it - it's too early for me and I can't think of it off the top of my head right now.
