So many questions!! I'm a newbie to resin and I am trying to recreate a piece of wood trim molding by casting resin. My first cast has some imperfections and I was wondering if I could use a dremel to cut and sand away those parts? I read that it's very hard to do that so I'm wondering if it's possible and also if it's advisable? Would I be better off making a new mold and recasting? There's no way I can get it perfect, so if it's not advisable should I use a different product entirely for casting?

Oh yes a Dremel works just fine, it's what I use all the time and I use it so much that I wore an old one out and had to buy a new one. I'd advise going at a slower speed to be sure you don't take too much off at one time and can get comfortable with it.

First time user here. Poured resin into routered shape of the lake I live on. Wood I poured it into will become a cribbage board. Love the look and the color. Can I run the board with the cured resin through a planer? Or a sander? Will I lose the gloss? If I lose the gloss how do I restore the gloss to the resin?
Thanks

Haven't tried a planer but have used a sander and did fine with the sander but yes it will lose the gloss a bit. To restore the gloss, you should be able to brush on a little more to bring it back. There's some good videos on this on the Alumilite's Youtube channel : www.youtube.com/user/AlumiliteCorporation/videos .
