Back in April 2018 i turned a nice blue vase mixed with black walnut. Also turned a blue ball too. It was beautiful and my wife snarfed it and took it to work to display in her office window. The window had a northern exposure so the vase and ball never saw direct sunlight. She brought it home today because it is not blue anymore. Just clear in appearance. Of course i'm wondering what has happened.
See the before and after pics
Not very happy

Attn: Admin.... Why did the blue tint in my project fade away? Carol at Alumilite has asked that you please give her a call at 1 800 447 9344 (M-F reg bus. hrs.) to further discuss the issue that you are having with the tint. Your patience on this matter is appreciated.

I talked to Carol briefly but our conversation was dropped. She never called me back. I'm basically out $160 plus for product and my time to turn and finish the vase. I will not buy anymore of the Amazing clear resin

If the call was dropped and she hasn't called you back then call her again. If either of you were on a cell phone I know of at least two different providers that were having trouble the past few days. Remember a lot of things are different right now so she may be still trying to find out why it did that so she can give you an answer and a lot of people are working different hours and different ways right now so she may be waiting to hear back from someone else before she has an answer or can do much to help you.

I was not on a cell phone and she must be getting answers cuz she hasn't called me back yet. I just want my money back.. nothing can be done to cure the problem i've had with the vase and the disappearing blue tint i used on this vase project

Please be patient, Covid-19 is impacting a lot of businesses and such so while they're trying to keep up, things do get behind. I'm sure they haven't forgotten you and just haven't had a chance to get you a good answer yet. Last I heard they were still working on it.

The vase was gorgeous! Just as an observer I would question the type of tint/dye you used. IMHO Alumilite resin is NOT the problem.

You just add drops to the clear Alumilite resin to tint it to your liking. Nobody has an answer to where the blue tint has gone too. I'm not happy and want my money back but I doubt that will happen

I really like your vase. What do you intend its end to be?

I really like your vase. What do you intend its end to be? It was intended to be a Window Show piece project that was very pretty with a small lite inside. Now not sure what's it's good for since the blue tint is gone. I get no answers from Alumilite as to what caused this. I am not a happy camper.

Well, I was just thinking how nice it looks, too bad to just give up. Perhaps you could mount it horizontally, make a jig to cut in some flutes with a mini router. Then fill in the flutes with a color, chuck, and turn. Sounds simple, but perhaps worth trying to salvage. Just trying to be helpful while feeling your pain.😟
