I have been working on a little project at home and want to make some blanks with alumilite clear and some wood and then shape them with my router. Has anyone ever routed aluminite clear? Its a much different way of removing material when compared to turning a blank on a lathe but it seems like it should work. I just want to see if anyone has done it before and what kind of luck they had?

I use my Dremel on all my resins but I haven't done routing with an actual router on any of them. The resins acted just like wood for the most part when I use my Dremel. Instead of a router bit, I'd use maybe a grinding tip instead. I haven't done this before so I can't say it will work or not, you would have to experiment yourself. Just remember what tool you are using and be careful.

Have you tried this yet? Did it explode?
