Any tips on polishing ACC? I'm not having much luck.
I have a piece that was coated with ACC 4 days ago. It got scuffed, and I would like to buff it out rather than recoat it. I have wet sanded to 1500 and then buffed with tripoli then white diamond. When I do this process on a cast piece of Clear Slow resin, I get a beautiful optically clear finish. Not so with the ACC, it is dull and looks terrible.
Any ideas?

I haven't tried this with any of the Clears but when I need a "shinier" surface on the RC-3, I use a white buffing/fine grit sanding type tip in my Dremel - not sure what it's actually called since it wasn't in a package when I "took over" the Dremel stuff so the closest I can describe it is a extremely fine grit sanding tip. From what I've heard about polishing resin, it seems like you've done it like you were supposed to so the only other option is to brush on another thin layer over top of the dull one. When I can't get the right texture on the RC-3 and I really need a shinier look, I'll go ahead and add a thin layer just to get it.
