Alumilite Clear, how hot does it get as it cures?
I ask because I have a mold that I would like to put Evergreen Plastic tube inserts into and cast the resin around them. I wanted to know if it got hot enough that I would need to be concerned with the plastic melting or deforming.
Evergreen is polystyrene.
Thanks!

Since the Clear is a "slow" cure (takes longer to cure), I'm fairly certain it doesn't get very hot. I poured some yesterday and didn't really notice it getting that warm but then again I wasn't paying a lot of attention to that. I've never tried using it with plastic so I wouldn't be able to say for sure if it would melt it or not. Now the RC-3 (the fast cure kind) I DO know gets hot and wouldn't recommend using with plastic because it does seem to get hot enough to melt plastic.

I’ll follow up with what might seem an odd question. If I poured the clear into a frame of carbon fiber strips, would it stick to them?

It should, I've seen it hold a lot of things so I don't see why it wouldn't.
