Hi there, just a quick question. I want to make a simple square mold (maybe 6"x3") and was wondering what the recomendation would be for that? I was thinking one of the "plats" but wasnt too sure. just havent made molds before. thanks so much for your help!

Good Afternoon John B, The link is to the volume calculator on our website www.alumilite.com/store/pg/12-Volume-Calculator.aspx. Since you have described it as a simple mold more than likely any of the silicone's we have would work. The Plat series typically work best if they are vacuum/degassed. My question would be what are you going to pour into the mold John B? If it is our resin you are going to use and do not have vacuum equipment, I would say use the HS 1 or 2... you can look at the technical data next to each and everyone of our products listed on the site. If there is anything else we can do for you please call, email, or forum us back. Have a great weekend! Carol

Hiya Carol, wow that was quick! i love you guys ha ha. Yes i will be using amazing clear cast, and i have a degassing vaccum chamber i will use for the mold material if needed. Just creating a diorama inside the cube, but I guess i was sort of unclear on the difference between condensation or addition (plats VS HS). Thanks so much for your help! Hope you have an amazing weekend!
