hello I'm having a problem. I've been making molds for a while now and I enjoy your products. However I've had issues with slow set 7 sticking to my high-strength 3 rubber molds. Just with two or three of them. I use powder prior to pouring my molds. What could be causing this? I've never run into this before. Should I use a universal mold release spray? It just seems odd because I've never had this happen.

Cobra,
The Slo Set 7 sits in the mold so much longer then the shorter open time resins that does wear on a mold. Using a release like UMR could sure help the mold life. Are these larger pieces, they generate much more heat in the exothermic reaction and that is what is hard on a mold.
If you can email me a picture of the piece, that could help me to Cobra.
Regards,
Carol

Hey Carol thanks for the reply. I went ahead and sent you three emails. The first email has a message and I thought I had attached the pictures but it showed that they didn't attach so the third email actually has all the pictures. My ISP provider was being crazy. When you look at the pictures you can see the mold where I'm prying it open with my fingers where the slow set actually took pieces of the rubber with it when I had to pry it apart.

I'm not sure if I got your pictures and I want to be sure, please send them again in the morning. I have been out West just returning and looking at the forum. In going through emails I am afraid some may have been missed in my absence, please send again Cobra321 so I can make sure this was addressed.
Regards,
Carol

Hey Carol I haven't been on the forums in a while. Thanks for getting back to me. I went ahead and forwarded original emails. You should get two emails. One with three pictures and one that's just an email message. The only thing I can think is that this particular batch of rubber I bought must have been bad. Because sometimes I have to go to different Hobby Lobby locations if I need more rubber because most of them only stock 1 1 pound kit. So sometimes if I'm making a lot of molds I'll burn through a few pounds of rubber like it's nothing. I was just perplexed by it. Because using a mold maybe getting 15 or 20 small parts from high-strength 3 and then the mold failing was just abnormal. I try to be good about resting my molds and rubbing them with silicone oil as well. I appreciate any assistance in the matter. Thanks for your time.
