Lonestarguide,
I have had people tell me that they have used it before to make pen blanks, but they were not completely satisfied with their results. The yellowing factor, it is more expensive, and it did not turn as well. It is also a much thicker viscosity with a much longer demold time at 24 hours.
The Alumilite Clear wins hands down as the resin of choice for penturners. It is very hard, so it polishes up and turns quite nicely. I have seen some beautiful pictures from the very talented men and ladies using the Alumilite Clear in conjunction with their phenomenal talent. Hats off to these artists.
Best,
Carol

Lonestarguide,
Tha Water Clear is a good product too ... beautiful clarity, longer open time, with a bit better UV stability. There are several "great" turners out there who use the Water Clear for their pens but I would say more use the Alumilite Clear because of the hardness of the two.
Best,
Carol
