I am using the Alumilite Clear to encase pine cones. The first ones were fine. The last two had cracks/gaps generating from the center of pine cones. Some went to the surface and were substantial gaps. I filled them with CA and am able to use them.
I'm not sure if it is part of the problem but the 1/2 gal of Part B has thickened and jelly like. It mixes ok after adding "A" to it. I have kept it inside for temp control. It is about 4 months old.
Any help or ideas are appreciated. Thanks

The B side will react with moisture (relative humidity) and needs to be recovered by simply warming it to 130F for 30-60 minutes. Once it reaches that temperature, allow it to cool back down and it will return to its normal viscosity. Then continue to use.
Hope that info helps.
I'm not sure on the pine cone. Recently had another person having some sporadic results with pine cones coming off of a couple tips of the cone. Two potential culprits to the problem ... moisture or too much exotherm coming from within the mass of the resin as it cures.
