I was wanting to get some advice on the best way to achieve a gold color with Alumilite clear. I know some may suggest the Alumilite White, but I want a little translucency or color depth that you get with the clear.
I didn't know if trying to mix some of the colored dye is the best way or by incorporating some of the gold metallic powder would be a better way. This is to make part of a pen blank that requires a gold color with depth/pearl in it.
Thanks,
Pat

Alumilite Clear with Gold Metallic Powder. Be careful not to add to much as you will lose the depth you are looking for ... the gold can become so thick it almost looks opaque. Add small amounts until you get the depth you are looking for, then pour.
