Dear Members
We are going to order silicone rubber but we are a little confused if you can help me I would be very appreciated
Our casting material is poliester and polyurethane. We expect 200-250 times demould from the silicone rubber and our models are not made of clay. They are also casting products made of poliester and painted with air brush. The models have lots of details and some undercuts
The molding technique of us is different We lay down the model to the clay we prepare it for molding first we take half of the model and after 1 day we turn it back clear the model and brush the other part but the important point is we brush vaseline to half of the clay not to stick to itself because there are locks and veins on it however the silicone on the other part of the clay has to be stick to itself so that we have only 1 mold line at the end
We used PlatSil Gel 10 with brushing technique and it sticked to itself after 1 day but I read that the number of castings is really low with PlatSil Gel if we use poliester TinSil they say is better for poliester but it is a liquid rubber and we have to use thixo and fast curing agent for this so the silicone rubber may be tear !
Which silicone should I use ? I took lots of orders for companies but I am stuck with the type of silicone
If you can help me I would be very very happy
With my best regards

How big is the part? Can you give me an idea on dimensions?
Tin base silicones will shrink whereas platinum base traditionally do not. But, as I'm sure you are aware, platinum base silicones can inhibit when they come in contact with certain materials such as tin, vinyl, sulfur, super glue, etc
What is the part? thx, Mike
