I've wasted 10lbs of quickset on a failed block mold that wil not work for my part..... (Minor inward collapse that would render casting useless). I have decided to go with a brush on mold with a flange with registration to hold on to a hard mother mold.
Two questions....
1. I was thinking high strength 1 for brush on application as it's thicker. Will it have the desired affect?
2. If I use pieces of the cured and wasted quickset mold as filler and registration keys.....will it properly adhere?
Thanks in advance.

Neonrust,
The HS 2 works best with the thixotropic additive for a brush on mold. It is not necessarily thicker, it has a higher/harder durometer, making it stiffer. It still can be brushed on in and of itself with out a thixotropic additive to make it thicker/brushable. There is a mold video on the website using thixotropic and a mother mold using our Shell resin.
Yes silicone does and will bond to itself as long as there is not any release that was used on the previous silicone that could prevent adhesion.
Most welcome and have a wonderful day.

Perfect! Thank you Carol.
Do you sell a thixotropic additive? If not could you recommend one?

I can't find it on the site. Another name possibly? I am glad you have it though. I suppose I'll just call in the order when the time comes.
