Hi! I am wanting to make a mold of a piece of formed ABS. I need to be able to remove it from my piece in order to have it hard enough so I can then use it to do a vacuum form of it out of more ABS sheeting. Which might work best for my needs?

Support the formed ABS piece flat in a box of sand. Then mold release it using Stoner Mold Release or Alumilite's UMR release. Then measure, mix and pour the Vac 50 into the form until it is level ... then allow to cure. Once cured, remove the mold/piece from the sand, flex the ABS piece and tap it on the table to allow the Vac 50 thermo form mold to drop out. Now you are ready to sand it if necessary to remove any burs prior to drilling your vac holes, putting on your vac table, and pulling new parts.
