Woodman59,
Good Morning! It depends on how deep/wide the crack is. The Amazing Clear Cast is used for bar tops/table tops with thin brushed on applications and small cracks. With the Amazing Clear Cast it is recommended to use a modge podge glue to seal the wood, from both moisture and cracks to stop air pockets from creating issues by not curing properly. Amazing Clear Cast is an epoxy resin.
Some use the Polyurethanes, Alumilite Clear or Water Clear... most use the Alumilite Slow clear for larger applications. Polyurethanes can be quite moisture sensitive so there can not be any moisture in your wood. It also needs to be degassed to reduce the chance of air bubbles, tiny champagne bubbles in your pieces. Again, no moisture!
Please feel free to call if there are other questions we are always glad to help!
Have a great day!
Regards,
Carol
