I have had trouble with my turned wooden goblets spitting when liquids are held in them. I've been testing them by putting water in them for an hour or so and although I've learned to avoid some woods, but the results are unpredictable with the food safe oil finishes I've used. Would one of your products be OK for lining the inside cup of wooden goblets?

i would suggest lining them with food grade silicone if you need to seal it. im not sure epoxy or eurothane, etc would be a good choice for anything going into a mouth. there are allergies and all kinds of related things that could happen. better play it safe. Just stick with the harder woods that will hold liquid naturally.

David,
The Amazing Clear Cast is FDA compliant, the only FDA compliant resins we have... however to be compliant the end user has to follow the directions explicitly and thoroughly. It must be measure accurately, our ratios are 1:1 by volume. Either component that is left and has not cross linked will leave the product leaching, leaving you with a tacky residue on your piece. The A and B must be mixed/blended thoroughly, again any thing that is not cross linked could contaminate food or drink. Third step when fully cured tack free, let it set for a full cure approximately 5-7 days at a warm temperature (70-74F). Prior to using for food or drink items, wash your pieces with warm (not hot) soapy water.
It is not microwave or dishwasher safe!! We recommend only cold foods and cold drinks with the Amazing Clear Cast.
Have a great weekend!
Regards,
Carol
