Hi i have been using the alumilite clear resins or a bit and like the 78 to 80 shore hardness. I have seen the rc 3 resins and they look cool more safe fumes wise, cheaper and quicker cure how do they compare to the alumilite clear shore hardness when it has a 74 shore hardness is that a big differance?. Also i seen a picture of the rc3 when cured for the rock climbing holds and looked rough texure if i beat the open time and pressure potted fast would it be perfect like alumilite clear free of bubbles and smooth texture. Does the rc 3 respond to sanding and polishabilty well also?.
Some more questions i have are for alumilite clear. I have tried pouring chunky not horrible but thicker part b for mixing and was wondering if it has to be heated in hot water bath like some guys say does it really change cure at all?. Im asking this because poured a part with the clear and had some bubble on top of part maybe wanting to go out vent just on top side of part even after pressure at 60 psi and no contaminants i believe. Im trying to narrow why that would happen and looking for advice i heard tin catilized smooth on 30 sorry for using there stuff all i had lol migh damage resin would platinum silicone work better just what i have heard. Or maybe from thicker part b?. Also when the parts came out of mold after cure they were not tack but had flim on them it seemed and when i touched one part after a couple days i thought dirt from my hand made white resin a bit tinted should i wait longer than 3 days for a thumb thickness and length sized part. Also how accurate should the b and a poured to i try to get at the same gram weight on postage scale and is that accurate enough or is it down to the decimals. Also i have parts that are between 1/4 and 1/8 inch thick what kind of post cure heat time would i need to fully cure them so they are hard pour some thin clear are they kinda were soft and tack looking?. Also is such thing as permanent mold release for metal part in side mold a thing i have bees wax how does that work?. And my last question i have a customer coming to me for knowing that alumilite clear isnt fda approved but really want answer on how bad is it when perfectly cured and mixed for occasional lip contact for duck call barrel mouth invision like a flute or something. Lets get real i know its not fda approved and it would be the go to say probably but is it chemically non toxic when cured pretty much and not getting nothing on skin when dried and touching it sure seems like its dry. Thanks sorry for all these questions but would very appreciate answers and would buy a bunch more products i got all these products almost working but not quite.
