Hi,
I'm currently working on creating some automotive lenses for my hot rod project.
I have the mold made. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get the resin into the pour hole fast enough so it settles evenly.
Do you guys have any suggestions on something i can use to push the resin into the mold faster? I was thinking about a large plastic syringe or something, but i can't find anything like that.
I've purchased the vacuum compressor and vacuum chamber from you as well and they work great. I have a large pressure pot already too.
By the time i get the resin through the vacuum changer and start pouring into the hole of my mold, its already starting to settle up and makes pouring into the hole externally SLOW or near impossible.
I really want something that once it's out of the vacuum chamber, i can pour the resin into a device that will PUSH the resin into the mold. Cap it and then into the pressure pot it goes to push the resin into the nooks and crannys.
Ideas?

Sorry for the slow response. Yes, a large plastic syringe is what we typically use. You have to look at veterinary supply and you should be able to find a large syringe between 4-6 fl oz. Even if you have to fill it twice for really large lenses, it should work fine, then pressure cast it.

Is there a way to slow down the pot life of the alumfoam. I could use another 15 or 30 seconds more Thanks Raven

Yes, simply chill both sides down to 40-50 degrees F and it will buy you the time you need.
