I made a mold for a custom license plate out of MDF, which I initially intended to use for casting pewter or tin. I've done that, but wanted to try a resin cast for something lighter and paintable. Is there a way I could coat that MDF mold with a thin layer of something (like spray silicone?) that would allow me to use one of your resin products? I did some test pieces with the amazing casting resin and it seems like it would work perfectly.
Thanks

RTGOLF,
The MDF can sometimes be porous so you would definitely want to seal it with a carnoba wax (make sure the whole box is sealed). Also, making sure all corners, and bases of the box are sealed so there is not any leaking of the resin from the box. We have a release... Stoner which is a silicone based spray that would work well.

Carol
