Hello,
I am planning to cast tires onto an aluminum wheel to use for a tennis ball pitching machine. I am looking for a urethane that:
1) will hold up to this
2) has good friction
3) is sandable/machineable
The tires will require about 2.5 Qts each. Can these be cast in layers to help with control and if they can about how much material should I plan to cast at one time? How close together should the pours be?
Thanks......Dennis

Hello Dennis,
Flex 80 is what we would recommend for your application. Yes, you can machine/sand the Flex 80 however it is not easy. Too much heat will gum things up so care must be taken with sanding and/or machining it. On the website you can read all tech specs as well as instructions. There are some tips and tricks in using this product that are printable on the site. If you have any questions Dennis please feel free to call us.
Regards,
Carol
