The resin I'm presently using (I did not buy from you guys) will not allow me to paint and clear coat my casted lures for weeks. It seems to exude some oils or volatiles that causes the clearcoat to "fish-eye" badly. Please tell me that your casting resins don't do this......
Thank you in advance.

Alumilite White has been used for years for lures with great success. I recommend using silicone rubber molds and not using mold release as the mold release can compromise the paints ability to coat and adhere to the lure body.
Take a look at makelure.com which is our site dedicated to lure making which includes tons of videos by Larry Dahlberg and myself.
Any questions, please post them here or on the makelure.com forum which is all about fishing.
thx, Mike

Mike,
Thanks for the quick reply. How long will I need to wait from the time I demold to when I can paint and clear coat the Alumilite White?

As soon as it comes out of the mold if you can hit it with paint or clear coat, the better it will bond as the resin will adhere to the paint as they both cure/harden.
