Hello, I have quickset silicone/performance resin coming my way. I'm new to casting and am very excited to get started. I do however have what should be a quick newb question...
Do I have to wait the 7 day full cure on the quickset before casting resin into it? Also...should I wait the full 72 hr cure of the performance resin before use?...it will be a a piece of sports equipment that will be beaten and abused...haha.
Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the slow response. No you don't have to wait the "full cure" ... waiting until the demold time is all that is required.
Full cure will represent the full physical properties you will see in the material though. For example, take the Performance 65D out of the mold after an hour or two may only be a 60D hardness and may take a few more hours to close in on 65D. Can you still use the part before it gets all the way to 65D? By all means yes but just understand it does take time for all the crosslinking to take place and fully cure which gives you the full physical properties of your casting.
