I'm completely new to this technology, having only seen some Youtube vids on making small items. I'm puzzling on how to cast replicas of vintage electronic parts & am considering casting them with wax. My concern is whether such material when melted would be too hot for any of the Alumilite mold materials. Waxes I could use melt from around 150 deg F (Bee wax) to 190 deg F (Carnauba wax). Casting sized are about 1 inch dia & 3 inches long, so not a great deal of hot mass. Are these going to be too hot? Any recommendations?

Wayne,
We have many candle and soap makers who use our silicone's for their molds. The High Strength 2 or the Quickset silicone either one can be used for wax. If it is a complex shape, I would recommend the HS2 or Amazing Mold Rubber, simple shape with not alot of undercuts the Quickset can be used.
Happy New Year Wayne!
Regards,
Carol
